The loan portfolio of North Macedonia’s commercial banks rose 13.6% year-on-year to 561.2 billion denars ($10.7 billion/9.1 billion euro) at the end of January, the central bank said on Friday.
In a monthly comparison basis, the banks’ loan portfolio expanded 0.5% at the end of January, the central bank said in a monthly statement.
Loans to the corporate sector grew 16.2% on the year, reaching 280.6 billion denars at the end of January, while loans to households grew 11.2% to 278.2 billion denars.
