The blue-chip index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange, the BELEX15, fell on Friday, dragged down by losses in industrial gases producer Messer Tehnogas and insurer Dunav Osiguranje, bourse data showed.
The BELEX15 lost 1.06% to close at 1,243.52 points.
At the other end, cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC], the only other blue chip that traded and the only gainer on the bourse overall, advanced by 2.33% to close at 2,200 dinars as 10 shares traded.
The BELEXline, a broader free-float market capitalisation-weighted index, fell by 0.51%, closing at 2,793.40 points.
Total turnover on the Belgrade bourse rose to 27.6 million dinars ($276,444/ 325,032 euro) from 9.7 million dinars on Thursday. Trading in government securities contributed 23.1 million dinars of the total turnover on Friday, compared to 6.7 million dinars the day before.
